Teacher in Charge for 2020

Miss Jessie Mieklejohn

  • Parents/Caregivers are informed via school newsletters and the website as soon as information is available, normally March, from North Harbour Netball about competitions and registration details.
  • The teacher in charge of netball will call for expressions of interest for team members, coaches/managers, and availability for practice times, and likely venues for practices. Once received teams will be allocated by the schoo, then registered. Please note each team must have a coach and a manager to be registered.
  • North Harbour Netball expertise will assist with team selection as determined by the school.
  • All students, parents and students will be provided with their team for the season, as well as the time and venue for practices.
  • All coaches, managers, parents and children maybe be required to sign a code of conduct that reflects the values of Hauraki School. It is the school’s expectation that this is adhered to at all times.
  • A meeting for all coaches/managers is to be held at the beginning of the season facilitated by the teacher in charge to outline organisation and expectations, as well as allocate a gear kit for each team.
  • The gear kit will consist of a set of bibs, 4 balls, and 6 cones. All children will be provided with a uniform by the school and a rental fee of $10 for the season is included in the registration fee.
  • Coaches/managers will be advised of available Netball North Harbour coaching/training sessions for upskilling as they become available.
  • Each team must take responsibility for providing the school office with scores immediately after each game for the school newsletter:
