Hauraki School’s site of just over two hectares incorporates 15 stimulating and attractively presented single-celled classrooms which are neatly divided into three blocks: Junior, Middle and Senior. A music room also features as well as small teaching spaces for specialist instruction. Our many resources are stored in two specific areas.
Rooms are mostly of an older style but are well maintained and have the advantage of size. All are north facing and well heated during winter. There is a two-storeyed administration block and an impressive large multi-purpose hall. In the foyer of this is a pohutukawa tree sculpture and families are able to leave their legacy by donating a bird or flower which will remain for generations to come and enjoy. Information Technology is very much part of Hauraki School’s education programme. There are Apple computers in all classrooms and there is also an excellent modern Information Centre which comprises a computer room and an attractive library. 
| Other facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, rugby field, cricket pitch, soccer field, netball and basketball courts, a large covered area for Physical Education or fitness activities, and a Junior and Senior playground. A new third playground is currently awaiting planning permission. We are proud of our park-like school grounds and welcome the use of these outside school hours by children and adults but everyone is expected to respect them. ‘No Skateboarding’ and ‘No Dog’ policies must be adhered to at all times.
